The Young Family has committed to sponsoring two undergraduate scholarships in the amount of $250 each in memory of Phil and Chuck Young. Phil Young (pictured left) was a founding father of the Industrial Arts Association of Pennsylvania and served two consecutive terms as President of the association at its inception in 1952. He taught industrial arts for 40 years including 31 years in the Neville Township School District. His sons also had careers teaching industrial arts as well. Chuck Young taught in the Montour Area School District for 29 years after serving in the military. Dr. Jack Young taught in Wayne, NJ for 29 years and six years at West Essex Regional School District in NJ. He also taught for an additional five years in Hampton Twp, PA. The scholarships will be funded yearly on a recurring basis by Jack Young and his sister Nancy Burns, an elementary school teacher in Dublin, Ohio, in memory of their father Phil and their brother Chuck. The scholarships will be awarded on a yearly basis using criteria similar to the Wilkinson Undergraduate Scholarship.
